- Take some basic martial arts classes you will need to be able to defend yourself against drunk agressive people.
- Go to some clubs and talk to the bouncers or any other staff they may know of job openings
- Look in the yellow pages under "clubs" and call up, speak to the manager and ask if they are hiring
- Dress apropriately when you get an interview, for eg, a clean shirt, blazer and smart jeans/trousers.
- Mention any sports you play so the mangaer will get an idea of your physical capabilities
- Bring a list of references to the interview

For those out there who are thinking about becoming a bouncer here are the six steps you should take:

How about "don't be stupid" Learn local laws and more importantly, learn how to difuse a situation before it gets out of control. Learn the laws of contact and confilct continum before engaging anyone in a physical manner or you'll be lible for a lawsuit.
Lastly, don't let someone's two cents cost you a fortune.
